Are you interested in a challenge? Do you want to learn new skills? Would you like to help other users clean their computer systems?
If the answers are ‘yes’ then TnT invites you to enrol in our training school, the TnT Malware Education Centre (TMEC).
At TMEC, you will receive training in all aspects of malware recognition and removal, reading and understanding logs and general computer system maintenance. You will qualify from TMEC as a Security Analyst and take your place as a member of the Security Team at TnT.
I’m not a computer expert – can I still apply?
Yes you can. Some basic computer knowledge would be an advantage but you will learn a great deal about your own system and the various Operating Systems in general use as you progress.
How long does the course last?
There is no specific timescale – every Trainee is free to work at their own pace. You are, of course, expected to maintain steady progress while in training. As a general guide, depending on ability and progression, you could be qualified within 9 to 12 months of starting study.
Will the course suit everyone?
It would be great to be able to answer ‘Yes’, but the reality is different. There is a considerable commitment required, especially a time commitment. You cannot start this course, drop it for a few months and then pick up again. Malware is constantly changing and evolving and Analysts need to keep up to date with developments. If, for example, you are currently studying for school or college examinations, then we would suggest you wait until those exams are finished before thinking about this course.
Not everyone will complete the course. Some may feel the course is too difficult or too long, while others may realise that they are not suited to Security analysis. You are under no obligation to complete the course and you may drop out at any time.
My system is still being cleaned – can I apply now?
It would be best if you could wait until the cleansing process has finished and then apply.
I’m already training elsewhere – can I still apply here?
No. Some people may do well at two schools while others may not. Different schools will have different methods – it could cause confusion and end up with you failing at both schools – not a good outcome for you, for us or for the other school.
Are all applications automatically accepted?
No, acceptance is not guaranteed. Every applicant is carefully reviewed and TnT reserves the right to refuse entry to TMEC, without explanation. If your application is rejected, please note that we will not enter into any discussion about the rejection - any such decision is final and non-negotiable.
How do I apply?
To apply, please send a Private Message to Clark76 titled “I wish to apply for TMEC”.
You will then receive a further PM – we will ask for further information.
We review every applicant carefully, so it may take up to 5 days before you receive a reply.
If your application is successful, you will then receive instructions concerning registration and entry to TMEC.
Thank you for thinking about training at TMEC and we wish you every success.
