Inserting php into Joomla! articles

Howdy all

I have a bit of php code that I want to use in one of my joomla articles, I though I would be able to do so by simply inserting the code using the code tag <?php (Code here) ?> into the html editor but I see it does not recognise it.

Is there a separate module or plug in that I should use for this?

Hopefully one of them does exactly what you want.

Thanks for the pointer Nicholas.

I did see the editing section at Joomla! after I posted here but I was unsure which was the sub section I needed. I ended up installing an editor called JCE which seems a good replacement for the default editor as I thought that would solve my problem (but to no avail!) I will try one from the Custom Code in Content section once I catch up on some much needed sleep from the night shift!
